As a boy of twelve, growing up in a Dutch immigrant family in Ontario, Canada, Gary Klumpenhower was called by God into the work of ministry. This came as a complete surprise as his previous goal was to be done with school as soon as possible and then help his family get settled in their newly adopted country. He had dreams of eventually becoming a chicken farmer who sold eggs and raised baby chickens.
Answering the call, Gary and his wife, Helen, spent forty years helping to bring the gospel of Jesus to the Navajo nation in southwestern USA. He tells of cultural and language barriers that had to be overcome, as well as evil powers that had to be dealt with, while addressing the problems of a hurting people. Gary shares how he has seen God at work, gathering Native Americans to be among the gems of Jesus’ crown.
